Dearne Valley is located just outside Doncaster on the banks of the river Don and the edge of a nature reserve. The newest Kingswood centre, it opened in following a multi-million pound re-development. Working with my dedicated and professional team my role is to ensure that all guests have a safe, fun and educational experience that supports the development of young people.
I have been General Manager at Dukeshouse Wood for over 12 years. I am passionate about the work that we do, delivering brilliant experiences that build confidence and discover potential; developing young people, challenging their boundaries whilst having fun and experiencing life changing moments. A fantastic weekend, so enjoyable to see our boys have a great time, while adults had a chance of mixing with other staff.
We are aware that a number of Battalions are organising their own events at Kingswood. We would encourage where possible for these to be opened up to Companies within the surrounding areas. Lodges for Party Leaders include kitchenettes with tea and coffee making facilities and small fridge for refreshments and storing medicines Dedicated toilets and shower areas at a ratio of one shower per 10 young people, plus separate facilities for Party Leaders.
